Crowdfunding: We made it!!

NoJetsTO staged a boat protest during the launch of the Queens Quay. Thanks to our supporters it was a huge success!

We assembled a flotilla of kayaks, canoes and sailboats on the water - and folks on land to protest for a jet-free waterfront. To put as many people on the water, NoJetsTO is renting kayaks and canoes. That's why we have started a crowdfunding campaign.

The great news: we hit our goal of $10,000. If you haven't pitched in yet, help us reach the finish line.

More than 70 kayaks, canoes, sailboats and a voyageur canoe full of LUSH kayaktivists assembled on the water, braving choppy waters. On land, more than 200 NoJetsTO supporters cheered on our 'kayaktivists' and rallied against the airport expansion plans.

Our speakers included former Olympic sailor Paul Henderson, MP Adam Vaughan, Councillor Joe Cressy and community activist Jennifer Hollett, joined by members of the boating and kayaking community. The media was there too!
CP24, City TV, CTV, the Toronto SunNOW Magazine and Radio-Canada covered our boat protest at length.
