Airport Master Plan Public Meeting

On Tuesday, March 31st, the TPA is holding a public meeting on their Island Airport master plan – one of City Council’s demands. Let’s tell them that there is no place for jets on our waterfront. Let's be clear: the airport master plan is part of the push for the planned expansion of the Island Airport. Based on a previous 2012 draft master plan, this master plan will have to assess the massive infrastructure expenses needed to accommodate jets. This meeting has open house from 5:30 to 6:30 pm with displays and TPA staff ready to answer questions. At 7 pm, PT’s consultants will give a presentation, followed by a question and answer period. Port Authority airport master plan public meeting Tuesday, March 31, 5:30 pm – 9:00 pm Room 206, Allstream Centre, Exhibition Place (Princes’ Boulevard and Newfoundland Drive)

Waterfront Toronto Town Hall

On Wednesday, April 1st, on the anniversary of the City Council vote, Waterfront Toronto is hosting a town hall on the ongoing waterfront revitalization work. Together we will show our support for the stewards of the momentous renewal our waterfront is undergoing. Waterfront Toronto’s President and CEO John Campbell will present a review of what has been achieved to date and provide an exciting look ahead to the future of our waterfront. You will then have the opportunity to ask questions and share your views. So don't miss out! Port Authority Airport Expansion Study - Scope Presentation

As if this wasn't enough, on Saturday, April 11th, the Port Authority will present the scope of its airport expansion study ("Environmental Assessment"). That's when they will have to show if they are serious about an objective study.
