Waterfront Mayoral Debate - CANCELLED

Earlier yesterday, when Mr Tory unexpectedly withdrew from the debate, the Organizing Committee regretfully decided to cancel the debate. Thank you to the dedicated members of the YQNA and BQNA for their efforts in preparing for this important evening. 
A lively debate is expected soon on the Waterfront! With Rob Ford out of the race, this is the chance to hear Olivia Chow and John Tory one-on-one discussing issues that will shape Toronto’s future in the controversial proposal for a jet airport and the epic urban renewal happening along the Waterfront. All questions will focus on the Waterfront and downtown.The hall accommodates 500 people, so come early to get a seat. Nicole Swerhun is moderator. York Quay Neighbourhood Association (YQNA) and Bathurst Quay Neighbourhood Association (BQNA) are hosting the debate. Doors open at 6 p.m. Seating in the gymnasium starts at 6:30 p.m. The Debate starts at 7 p.m. Other candidates for mayor and city councillor in the Oct. 27 election can distribute information and speak with audience members before and after the debate, but will not participate in the debate.
